Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway Company Limited (HSBE) is operating and maintaining three expressways between Honshu and Shikoku, which are fully-access-controlled highway, as main businesses. In addition, HSBE is now operating rest facilities such as service areas (SA) and parking areas (PA), and conducting committed businesses for research and development regarding long-span bridges entrusted by the national or local governments as related businesses.

HSBE is operating, maintaining, repairing, recovering from disaster damages and doing other works for Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressways rented from Incorporated Administrative Agency Japan Expressway Holding and Debt Repayment Agency (JEHDRA).

We are aiming at high quality traffic control to provide safe, smooth and comfortable services for users and at perfect maintenance based on the concept of preventive maintenance to ensure keeping the performance of bridges and highways more than 200 years. Therefore, we are making efforts to efficiently manage the businesses and saving maintenance cost by setting forward the efficiency of maintenance techniques and development of repair methods.

HSBE is conducting the management of 11 rest facilities such as service areas and parking areas, which are owned by HSBE. We are aiming at providing joyful services for users by forming comfortable space which satisfy travel tiredness and enjoy the nature and landscape of the Seto Inland Sea region, and by exhibiting meals or souvenirs which are made from local products.

In addition, we are carrying out the management and maintenance for the railway facility between Honshu and Shikoku inherited by JEHDRA. And we are also conducting the commission businesses such as survey, design and so on by making use of long-span bridge technologies owned by HSBE.

Furthermore, we are now trying to prepare rental business of our own buildings, parking business by making use of the beneath of viaducts, advertising business by utilizing homepage and so on.
