International Exchange

Japan has benefited from the international exchange of bridge technology. Among all, the Honshu-Shikoku Bridges owe greatly to the recent development of the technology of modern suspension bridges, first realized by New York's Brooklyn Bridge and further developed by the U.S. and the U.K., as well as the development of long-span cable-stayed bridges in Europe. From this viewpoint, HSBE has been promoting positive relationships to share valuable experiences on long-span bridge technology with many foreign organizations. In addition, HSBE cooperates with domestic and overseas agencies to offer official training programs to spread and transfer the latest knowledge on bridge engineering.
