HSBE signed the MOU with Korea Expressway Corporation

HSBE singed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for mutually beneficial relationship with Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) on May 8, 2009, at the Bridge Exhibition Center near Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.

KEC is a highway public corporation which constructs expressways all over Korea, and the corporation has a high level technology on the construction, management and operation for expressways through its businesses.


The fields of the mutual relationship agreed by both HSBE and KEC are as follows,
- Development of cooperation in toll-road business,
- Toll-road construction, maintenance and operation,
- Long-span bridge design, construction, maintenance and R&D,
- Installation and management of road related facilities, and
- Road traffic and road safety.

The related activities shown below will be carried out by mutual consents.
- Exchange of technical information
- Mutually technical visit
- Holding technical meeting

HSBE and KEC are managing and operating well-known long-span bridges. In addition, the role of both the organizations is to construct, manage and operate expressways. We, HSBE and KEC, are responsible for making efforts to improve our technologies for drivers to use expressways safely, easily and comfortably. Therefore, we intend to exchange technical information mutually according to the MOU in the future.
