HSBE dispatched an engineer for the construction supervision of Nhat Tan Bridge in Vietnam
HSBE signed the contract with Nippon Engineering Consultants Co., Ltd. regarding dispatching an engineer on 31 August, 2009. Based on the contract, Mr. Hirofumi Uemura, Manager, Engineering Management and Corrosion Engineering Group, Long-span Bridge Engineering Center, HSBE, was dispatched to Hanoi, Vietnam, to supervise the construction work of Nhat Tan Bridge, as one of staff members in the construction management engineering team, on 1 October, 2009.
The total length of Nhat Tan Bridge is 3,080 m, including six continuous-span cable-stayed bridge whose total length is 1,500 m (the longest span length is 300 m). The number of lanes is six. The Bridge is to be one of the longest bridges in Vietnam.
The construction of Nhat Tan Bridge was planned as the memorial monument for the relocation of the capital to Hanoi, the 1,000th anniversary. The construction work of the Bridge is being progressed as a Japanese loan project. The Bridge is called “Japan-Vietnam Friendship Bridge”
HSBE has provided technical cooperation for not only domestic but also overseas long-span bridge projects, by utilizing experiences and technologies developed through Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Project.
