Ohyamazumi Shrine is called as Japanese distance tutelary deity. Mirror and pike which are treasuries of the god are hoarding in the main hall of the shrine. In the treasury house in the churchyard, about 80 % of weapons which are designated as the national treasures or the important cultural assets in Japan are exhibited.

Experiences of tidal wave: about 30 minutes

From Murakami-Suigun Museum in Miyakubo, Ohshima Island, you can see and enjoy the rapid tidal current around Noh Island designated as historical sights and Hakata-Ohshima Bridge by cruising during 30 minutes.

Visit Murakami-Suigun Museum

During Sengoku (War) Era in Japan, Murakami-Suigun, which was a brave pirate, was named as "sea feudal lord", and they ran around the sea area freely. It is shown by the precise documents and excavated items.

Visit Yoshiumi Rose Garden

Roses of about 400 sorts and 6,500 stumps are planted in Yoshiumi Rose Garden, whose area size is about 2.8 ha. Bloom period of rose is from the middle of May to the end of December. The best season of rose is from the middle of May to the beginning of June and from the middle of October to the beginning of November.

Visit Kirou-San Observatory (evening)

The Altitude of Kirou-Yama Observatory is about 307.8 m. The Observatory is located in the south of Ohshima Island, and this is included in the national park of Seto Inland Sea. You can see and enjoy Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridges, the tidal current of Kurushima Strait, the illumination of the Bridges and the setting sun from the Observatory.

Visit Sunrise Itoyama

Sunrise Itoyama is a cycling terminal which was established as the 60th in Japan, at the foot of Kurushima-Kaikyo Bridges. A lot of cyclists and jogging runners are gathering here. This has about 300 bicycles for rent, restaurant and accommodations.

Visit Hirayama Ikuo Museum of Art

The Museum collects new works painted by Mr. Ikuo Hirayama who is an artist represent to present Japan. Furthermore, some sketches and paintings of the childhood era of his are exhibited in the Museum.

Visit Kosanji Temple

Kosanji Temple is a temple which belongs to Shin Buddhism, which was set up after the death of Kosan Wajoh's beloved mother. The tower of the main hall was restored considering the Buddhism architectural method and form of Asuka to Edo Eras.

Visit Mt. Shirataki and 700 bodies of stone Buddhist image

Seven hundred bodies of stone Buddhist image are placed at the Mt. Shirataki ,which were made by Mr. Denroku Kashihara and his disciples in the 10th of Bunsei Era. You can see wonderful Geiyo Islands from the top of the mountain.

Visit the Grave of Mr. Honinbo Shusaku

Mr. Honinbo Shusaku was a famous Go player in the 1850's who could not be beaten. He and Mr. Dousaku Honinbo were said to be big two players. In the Shusaku Museum which was his cottage, his mementos such as Go board, etc. are preserved.

Visit Senkoji Temple

The garden of Senkoji Temple, which is located in the middle to the top of Mt. Senkoji, is selected as a cherry blossom attraction which is one of the most beautiful 100 spots in Japan. In autumn, appreciating chrysanthemum is held, and the smell of various chrysanthemums wafts around there. You can also enjoy the scene of Seto Inland Sea and the beauty of many islands from the top observatory of the mountain.
