The facility displays the long-span bridge construction technologies used for the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and other Honshu-Shikoku bridges, as well as long-span bridge projects both in Japan and around the world. It is also equipped with a 200-inch large-screen video theater that shows scenic images of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and other bridges.

Maiko Beach, where Maiko Park is located, is a beautiful place with white sand and green pines that has long been the subject of poetry and was opened in 1900 as the first Hyogo prefectural urban park. The park includes a monument inscribed with a poem by the Emperor Meiji, the exotic Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, the Former Residence of the Kinoshita Family, a pre-World War II Japanese-style sukiyazukuri building, and the Former Residence of Sanji Muto, where visitors can learn about the villa culture and Western lifestyle of the Meiji period.

The Maiko Marine Promenade is a circular promenade built on the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge that offers you a relaxing view of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, Osaka Bay and the Seto Inland Sea. Its log bridges, located on see-through floors approximately 47 meters above sea level, give you a thrilling experience of height.

This is the only museum in Japan dedicated to the Chinese revolutionary, politician and thinker Sun Yat-sen. The museum exhibits valuable materials such as Sun Yat-sen's calligraphy. The octagonal, three-story pavilion "Ijo-Kaku" is designated as the National Important Cultural Property.
Former residence of the Kinoshita family

The former residence of the Kinoshita family is a modern Japanese, Sukiyazukuri-style residence completed in 1941.This valuable building was registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan in December 2001 because it retains almost all of the original structure of the house at that time, despite the decreasing number of Japanese residences in the Hanshin area since 1995, when the Great Hanshin Earthquake struck the area.The front and courtyard gardens still retain the appearance of the original garden style, and the house is surrounded by lush greenery in harmony with the adjacent Maiko Park.

The Former Residence of Sanji Muto is a two-story wooden colonial-style building located at Maiko Beach. It was built in 1907 by Sanji Muto, who turned around Kanebo, Ltd. and served as a member of the House of Representatives. The building has been preserved with its original stained glass windows, fireplaces, furniture, and furnishings from the Meiji period, making it a valuable site for visitors to learn about the residential style of Western-style houses and how businessmen lived during that time.
