Niihama City Museum of Art

ehime

“Akagane” is another name for copper, and is derived from the Besshi Copper Mine, which was the foundation of Niihama City’s development. The building has a copper-roofed exterior and a streamlined shape that evokes the image of the Besshi Copper Mine. In the center of the art museum is the Taikodai Museum, which displays the taikodai used in the Taiko Festival.
