The museum was established as a “heartwarming museum of masterpieces” with all funding from the late Tadatsune Tokusei, a native of Imabari City Tamagawa Town. The collection includes works by Seiki Kuroda, Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita, Gauguin, Picasso, Chagall, and others, allowing visitors to see a wide range of changes in modern Western painting.
