Japan’s first private museum focusing on Western art, built in 1930 by entrepreneur and philanthropist Magosaburo Ohara, to commemorate the achievements of painter Torajiro Kojima. It displays a wide-ranging collection of Western and Japanese modern and contemporary art, crafts, and ancient art from the Orient and East Asia.
