Yamato Museum(Kure Maritime Museum)

This museum introduces the history of Kure from the Meiji period onwards, which flourished as a naval port where the battleship Yamato was built, and as the town with Japan’s largest naval arsenal. After the war, many of the world’s largest tankers were built here, as well as various types of science and technology, including shipbuilding and steelmaking.
