Located in the center of Oita City, this art museum is open to the public with the concept of “a museum of encounters and the five senses.” The building, which has an exterior reminiscent of traditional bamboo crafts and a sense of openness with its glass walls, was designed by world-renowned architect Shigeru Ban.
