The port city of Kobe has developed as Japan’s gateway to the world. KOBE ARTISTS MUSEUM opened on March 23, 2007 to promote the art and culture nurtured in Kobe. It has a collection of over 1,400 pieces of art that have been displayed in Kobe’s city hall and facilities within Kobe, as well as paintings and sculptures by artists with ties to Kobe which are also available to the public.
