Located in the center of Matsuyama City, within the ruins of Matsuyama Castle, a nationally designated historic site. The museum has a collection of about 12,000 pieces, including works by artists with local ties, as well as works by foreign artists and artists important in the history of Japanese art, and exhibits are rotated in a collection exhibition. Special exhibitions are also held with various themes.

- Parking is free for two hours at the Prefectual Office's west parking lot, however as parking space is limited and the parking lot is likely to be crowded, we recommend using public transport etc.
