Kotohiragu houmotukan
kagawa
The Homotsu-Kan was built in 1905 based on a design by Ministry of Education engineer Masamichi Kuru. It is a stately building that combines Japanese and Western styles, with a two-story Aoki stone granite from Hiroshima, Kagawa Prefecture, a tiled hip-and-gable roof, and a copper-plated karahafu-style entrance. Inside the museum, the “Eleven-faced Kannon Standing Statue” (Important Cultural Property) is on display.
