Okayama Orient Museum

This museum opened in 1979 as the only public museum specializing in the Middle Eastern to Egyptian civilization. The gellery exhibits archaeological and artistic pieces from about 500,000 years ago to the present day. The museum also serves as a center for research in western part of Japan.
